Te Akau South is located on the west coast of Waikato, not far north of Raglan. You must ask permission from the farmer to cross his land, and walk across several paddocks to the beach. From Hamilton head north west on Avalon Drive Bypass, State Highway 1. At Ngaruawahia turn left onto Princess Street, then right onto Herschel Street, then left onto Waingaro Road. Continue onto State Highway 22, heading west, through Glen Massey. Turn left onto Te Akau Road, then left onto Te Akau South Road and continue right onto Neilson Road, to the end of the road. From here ask permission and walk across the paddocks.
