Description:

Albatross Point is a group of 4 left hand point breaks along a row rocky points, located south of Kawhia Harbour near Arohaki Bay. You need permissions to cross land to get to the bay or take a boat out from the harbour. Albatross Point needs a huge swell to bend around the point and reach the bay. The waves reel off with several sections to play with. Wally, punchy waves and the hollow barrel section too. Leave this break to the experts.

Directions:
Albatross Point is located on the west coast of Waikato, not far from taharoa, south of Kawhia Harbour. From Hamilton head west on Massey Street, then left onto Tukikaramea Road, out of Hamilton. Turn left onto Kakaramea Road, State Highway 39, heading south. Turn right onto Kawhia Road, State Highway 31. Turn left onto Harbour Road, then turn right to stay on Harbour Road. Continue onto Kawhia Harbour Road. Turn left onto Te Waitere Road. Turn right onto Taharoa Road. At Taharoa, turn right onto Rotopuhoe Road then left onto Taharoa Road again. From here you will need to turn right and see the farmer about crossing his land. Alternativily you can take a bost out from the harbour.
