Northland

90 Mile Beach

90 Mile Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located west of Kaitaia, on the West Coast of Northland. There are several peaks to choose from along the very long beach, with both right and left-handers. Can get heaps of swell as it is very exposed. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

The Bluff

The Bluff is a beach break on a sandy beach and rocky point, located on the west coast, south of North Cape. There are several peaks to choose from around the point and along the beach with both right and left handers. Can get heaps of swell. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Te Paki

Te Paki is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the west coast of North Cape. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. Can get heaps of swell. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Scott Point

Scott Point is a beach break on a sandy beach, located south west of Cape Reinga, on the west coast of North Cape. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Twilight Beach

Twilight Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located west of Cape Reinga, on the north western tip of North Cape. Its a long walk along the Cape Reinga Coastal Walkway to access the beach. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Te Werahi Beach

Te Werahi Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located just west of Cape Reinga, at the northern tip of North Cape. very exposed beach. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Tapotupotu Bay

Tapotupotu Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located just east of Cape Reinga, at the northern tip of North Cape. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers, and sometimes a good left hander at the western end of the beach. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Tom Bowling Bay

Tom Bowling Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located east of Spirits Bay, out near the north eastern tip of North Cape. Tom Bowling Bay is very isolated and hard to access, also meaning no crowds. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Rarawa Beach

Rarawa Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located at the southern end of Great Exhibition Bay on the east coast of Northland. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Houhora Heads

Houhora Heads is a left hand point break on a sandy/rocky point, located at the mouth to the Houhora Harbour on the east coast of Northland. Need to paddle across the river mouth to Stanley Point.  The wave is punchy, wally and long. best for advanced to expert surfers only. River mouths often have strong currents and rips.
