Long Point
Long Point is a left hand point break on a rocky point. It's a long left hander with a steep, gnarly drop in, then wally or hollow sections. Suitable for intermediate to expert surfers. It can get colder down in this area, so wear plenty of rubber. Careful on the rocks.

Directions
From Dunedin head South on State Highway 1. When you get to Balclutha turn left onto High Street (Signs to Owaka), then turn right onto Owaka Highway. When you get to Owaka turn left onto Papatowai Highway. Continue on, then just past the Catlins lake left onto Purakaunui Falls Road, here the road turns to gravel. Turn left onto Long Point Road. Carpark provided by Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust and its a short walk down to the beach or out to the point.
