Waikawau

Waikawau is a beach break on a sandy beach, located near the northern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Waikawau has several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for beginner to expert surfers.

Te Karo Bay

Te karo Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the east side of the Coromandel Peninsula just north of Tairua, also known as Sailors grave. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is Powerful and hollow, good fun with some barrels on offer, but it can get to be a heavy shore break. There is also a good right hander at the south end of the beach and left hander at the north end of the beach. Coromandel beaches are Popular, Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for Intermediate to expert surfers.

Opito Bay

Opito Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the north eastern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Opito Bay is a fairly sheltered bay and needs a decent swell to get it working. The wave is Punchy and fun. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for beginner to expert surfers.

Wainuiototo Bay

Wainuiototo Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach and right hand point, also known as New Chums, it is located just north of Whangapoua. Wainuiototo Bay has several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The best break is the right hand point at the south eastern end of the beach. Wainuiototo Bay is a fairly sheltered beach and needs a decent swell to get it working. The wave is punchy and fun. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for beginner to expert surfers.

Rings Beach

Rings Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located between Kuaotunu and Matarangi, on the north eastern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Rings Beach is a fairly sheltered bay and needs a decent swell to get it working. The wave is punchy and fun. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for beginner to expert surfers.

Kuaotunu Beach

Kuaotunu Beach is a right hand point break off a rocky point onto a sandy beach, located at the eastern end of the beach, on the north eastern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Kuaotunu Beach is a fairly sheltered bay and needs a decent swell to get it working. The wave is fast and hollow, with barrels on offer. there are also some fun beach breaks down the beach. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for advanced to expert surfers.
