Description:

Wainuiototo Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach and right hand point, also known as New Chums, it is located just north of Whangapoua. Wainuiototo Bay has several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The best break is the right hand point at the south eastern end of the beach. Wainuiototo Bay is a fairly sheltered beach and needs a decent swell to get it working. The wave is punchy and fun. Coromandel beaches are popular, so Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for beginner to expert surfers.
