Te Karo Bay
Te karo Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the east side of the Coromandel Peninsula just north of Tairua, also known as Sailors grave. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is Powerful and hollow, good fun with some barrels on offer, but it can get to be a heavy shore break. There is also a good right hander at the south end of the beach and left hander at the north end of the beach. Coromandel beaches are Popular, Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for Intermediate to expert surfers.

Te Karo bay is on the east side of the Coromandel peninsula, off State Highway 25.
From Thames head south on Queen Street, State Highway 25, and continue onto Ngati Maru Highway. At the round about turn left onto Mgati Maru Highway, State Highway 26, then left onto Kopu-Hikuai Road, State Highway 25A heading east. Turn left onto Tairua Road, State Highway 25, heading north. Continue past Tairua then turn right onto Sailors gave Road, down to the beach. Its a very short walk from the car park to the beach.
