From Wellington, head north out of the city on State Highway 1. Turn left where the signs point to Porirua, still on State Highway 1. Continue past Porirua and Paremata to Pukerua Bay. Turn left onto Pukerua Beach Road, then left again onto Ocean Parade, along to the end of the road. From here it's about a 2km walk to the next point.
