Homunga Bay
Homunga Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located a long walk north from Waihi Beach. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun with good power. Know the rules and respect the locals. Good for intermediate to expert surfers.

From Tauranga City, head west out of Tauranga on Takitimu Drive, State Highway 2. Turn right onto Arthenree Road and Continue onto Steele Road, then turn right onto Emerton Road. Turn right onto Seaforth Road. At the coast turn left onto Seaforth Road and continue straight onto Wilson Road. Turn right onto Beach Road. At the roundabout turn right onto The Esplanade and find a park near the surf club. From here its a long walk over the hill to the north, past Orokawa Bay to the next bay. Approx 60-80min walk.
