Directions
From Napier, head north on Pandora Road State Highway 2, onto Meeanee Quay and Main North Road out of the city. Continue on State Highway 2 through Wairoa, then at Nuhaka go straight through the roundabout onto Nuhaka Opoutama Road. Continue along Nuhaka Opoutama Road, turn right onto Ormond Drive. WHen you get to Mahia beach, continue straight ahead onto Mahia East Coast Road. The road will cut across to the east coast of mahia peninsula and down the coast through Mahia. Continue over the Whangawehi River and find a park on the eastern side of the river mouth.
