The Gap - Napier
The Gap Napier is a beach break on a sandy beach, located towards the north end of West Shore beach where there is a big empty gap between the houses. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from, with both left and right handers. The wave is a punchy shorey wave. Good for all levels of surfer.

Directions
From Napier city head west on Thackeray Street, then continue on to Hyderabad Road, State Highway 2, which will bend to the right. Turn left at the round about on to Pandora Road, State Highway 2. When you get to West Shore turn right on to Alfred Street then left on to Charles Street. At the end of the road turn right on to Fenwick Street, then left on to The Esplanade. Take this almost to the end, where you should find a big empty gap between the houses.
