Waipatiki Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun, with generally better rights at the southern end of the beach and better lefts at the northern end. Good for all levels of surfer.

From Napier city head west on Thackeray Street, then continue onto Hyderabad Road, State Highway 2. Continue on State Highway 2, then turn right onto Main North Road, State Highway 2 out of Napier heading north. When you get to Tangoio, turn right onto Tangoio Settlement Road, then turn left onto Tangoio Road. Continue onto Tangoio Settlement Road, then turn right onto Waipatiki Road, and down to the beach.
