Opoutama beach is a beach break on a sandy/shingle beach. Opoutama beach has several peaks to choose from scattered along the beach, which offer both right and left handers. The wave is fairly soft and fat, good fun, perfect for learners and mals. Suitable for all levels of surfer.

Directions 

From Napier, head north on Pandora Road State Highway 2, onto Meeanee Quay and Main North Road out of the city. Continue on State Highway 2 through Wairoa, then at Nuhaka go straight through the roundabout onto Nuhaka Opoutama Road. Continue along Nuhaka Opoutama Road, turn right onto Ormond Drive, around to the water front and find a good peak down the beach.
