Gore Bay

Gore Bay is a small holiday location on the coast from Cheviot, in North Canterbury. This is a beach break, onto a mostly sandy beach, with small stones higher on the beach. It's a long beach with several peaks offering punchy waves and possible barrels. Gore Bay picks up plenty of swell from a range of angles from north, east and south, providing a good chance of surf. Can get a few crowds on a good weekend day. Suitable for all levels of surfer.
