Mid Shore
Mid Shore is a beach break and a left hand point break on a sandy beach with rocky point, located on the coast from Waipara, north Canterbury. There is a good left hand point break on the rocky point at the north end of the beach which is punchy and wally. needs the right swell direction to break well. Then there is a beach break on the main beach with several peaks to choose from with both right and left handers. The beach break is punchy and fun. Good for intermediate to expert surfers.

Mid Shore is located on the coast from Waipara, north Canterbury.
From Christchurch head north on State Highway 1, through Amberley. At Waipara turn right onto Mount Cass Road and follow this to the end, the road will turn to gravel. You will come to a farm house where you will need to park up and walk across two paddocks and down the hill to the beach. Ask permission before crossing the farmers land.
