Pines Beach
Pines Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the north side of the Waimakariri River, north of Christchurch. There are several peaks to choose from along the beach with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer.

Pines Beach is located on the north side of the Waimakariri River, north of Christchurch.
From Christchurch head north on State Highway 1, across the Waimakariri River. Continue across the Kaiapoi river then take the exit for Kaiapoi Lineside Road, and turn right onto Lineside Road and onto Smith Street. Continue straight onto Beach Road down to the Pines Beach village. Turn left onto Dunns Avenue then right onto Reid Memorial Avenue, down to the beach.
