Castlepoint Beach is a sandy beach break out front of Castlepoint Village. The beach is quite exposed to the wind. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from, offering both right and left-handers. Good, fun, soft waves to be had. Suitable for beginner surfers.

From Masterton, take Te Ore Ore Road east out of the city and veer right onto Masterton Castlepoint Road which leads all the way out to Castlepoint. You should be able to follow the signs. When you reach Castlepoint, find a park and get out back.
