Slipperies is a left had point break located on the north side of the Whakataki River, out front of the Whakataki Hotel. The wave has good Power, with a steep, fast drop in and peeling wall. Good for surfers of all levels.

Directions
From Masterton take Te Ore Ore Road east out of the city and veer right onto Masterton Castlepoint Road which leads all the way out to Castlepoint. When the road first nears the coast before you get to Castle point, turn left onto Mataikona Road and take this down to the beach. The surf break is just out front of the Whakataki Hotel.
