Xmas Bay
Xmas Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, over the hill to the south of The Gap Castlepoint. Picks up good south swell. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from, offering both right and left handers. Good fun, punchy waves. Good for surfers of all levels.

Directions
From Masterton take Te Ore Ore Road east out of the city and veer right onto Masterton Castlepoint Road which leads all the way out to Castlepoint. You should be able to follow the signs. When you get to Castlepoint, continue driving stright through the town onto Jetty Road. At the end of the road you can choose to either drive out onto the sand turn right and drive down the beach to The Gap, or you can choose to park up and walk south down the beach to The Gap. From The Gap, Xmas Bay is another 15 minute walk over the hill to the south.
