Graveyards
Graveyards produces a powerful, yet fat, wave. It is a bit of a small right-hand point break, but if it's a little messy you can get some peaks with lefts in there too. Can have some hollow take offs. Best with more of a south swell angle. Watch for rock boil ups.

Directions
From Kaikoura, drive north on State Highway 1 for about 10mins, until you cross the Hapuku River and pass Hapuku. Just past Hapuku Lodge, where the road meets the coastline again, there will be a tight left-hand corner, take the gravel road on the right just before the corner, Kiwa Road. Cross the railway line and check the surf. Just a little to the south, in front of the graveyard, there is a small point with some right-handers breaking, known as Graveyards.
