Iron gate is a beach break on a sandy/Rocky beach, located just north of Blue Duck and Mangamaunu at the Iron gate Stream, north of Kaikoura. The wave is wally or fat. Good for all levels of surfer.

Iron Gate is located just north of Blue Duck and Mangamaunu at the Iron Gate Stream, north of Kaikoura.
From Kaikoura Drive north on State Highway 1 for about 20mins. Continue just past Mangamaunu and just past the Blue Duck Stream to the Iron Gate Stream, and turn right into the car park.
