Baylys Beach
Baylys Beach is a beach break on a sandy beach. Its a long beach with various peaks to choose from, offering both left and right handers. It can be very changable with different tides and winds, as its very exposed to the wind. Best with smaller swell around 2-4 foot. Watch out for the rips which can get quite bad. Ok for surfers of all levels.

From Whangarei travel west out of the city on Maunu Road State Highway 14, and follow the road all the way to Dargaville. At Dargaville go straight ahead onto River Road State Highway 12, still travelling west, and turn right onto Colville Road State Highway 12. Not too far up the road turn left onto Baylys Coast Road and continue to the end of the road, then turn left onto Cynthia Road and find a park.
