Wainui Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located north of Kerikeri on the east coast of Northland. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and fun. Good for all levels of surfer. Popular beach - know the rules and respect the locals. Watch out for swimmers.

Wainui Bay is located north of Kerikeri on the east coast of Northland.
From Whangarei, head north on Western Hills Drive, State Highway 1. At Kawakawa turn left onto Queen Street, State Highway 1. Turn right onto State Highway 10. Turn right onto Matauri Bay Road. Turn left onto Whakarara Road, continue onto Wainui Road and follow this all the way to the beach opposite Wainui Valley Road.
