Woolleys Bay
Woolleys Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located on the east coast, north of Whangarei. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is powerful and hollow with some barrels on offer. Good for all levels of surfer. Popular beach, so know the rules and respect the locals. Watch out for swimmers.

Woolleys Bay is located on the east coast, north of Whangarei.
From Whangarei, head north on Bank Road and onto Mill Road. Continue onto Waiatawa Road, then onto Ngunguru Road. Turn left onto Kaiatea Road, then turn right to stay on Kaiatea Road. Turn right onto matapouri Road and follow this to the beach, then continue along to the next beach, Woolleys Bay.
