Moureeses Bay
Moureeses Bay is a beach break on a sandy beach, located north of Whananaki on the east coast, north of Whangarei. There are several peaks down the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is soft and fat, great for mal riders and learners. Good for all levels of surfer. Popular beach, so know the rules and respect the locals. Watch out for swimmers.

Moureeses Bay is located north of Whananaki on the east coast, north of Whangarei.
From Whangarei, head north on Western Hills Drive, State Highway 1. Turn right onto Russell Road, then right onto Pigs Head Road. Turn left onto Whananaki North Road, and continue onto Rockell Road. Turn right onto Moureeses Bay Road and hit the beach.
